Artistic Experiences
Antonia began performing during childhood, dancing at two and a half years of age, and singing three-part harmony with her mom and sister at the age of four. She was a print model for Polaroid at the age of seven. Antonia excelled in school with a passionate drive for learning. She earned a BA in psychology at University of California, San Diego, an MA in counseling psychology at John F. Kennedy University, and an MS in clinical psychology at Harvard University. As a clinician, Antonia specialized in expressive art therapy and play therapy. She writes and illustrates children’s books.
Antonia composes music, writes lyrics, and choreographs. She sings in six languages, including English. As a jazz vocalist, Antonia sang at the House of Blues and B.B. Kings in Hollywood. In Paris, she sang at the Caveau des Oubliettes, Caveau de la Huchette, and Hotel Lutecia. For the grand opening of Universal Studios in Japan, Antonia sang on the main stage with Le Jazz Hot. Antonia performed at Disneyland as a vocalist and face character. She danced with the 49r cheerleaders, Carlos Santana, and Bob Weir for the World Cup opening ceremony. She sang back-up vocals for Dave Wakeling of the English Beat. While under recording contract with Rockin' Records, Doc West with Motown Records wrote Jitterbug Jive for Antonia to sing with the Millennium Swing Orchestra. Antonia sang jazz vocals in Dodge automobile television commercials. For the avant-garde opera Let My Body Eat the Sun, she was an improv vocalist. In DFW she provided lead vocals and guitar for The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, recorded vocals and choreography for The Fly, harmonies for A Twisty Intergalactic Spectacle, and vocals for Riders of the Purple Sage at Hip Pocket Theater. Antonia delivered singing telegrams, sang at the Scat Jazz Lounge, and performed at Pinky’s Champagne Room. As a torch singer, she performed with the Dry Martini Orchestra as the opening act for The Rat Pack Revue. Antonia sang with the Rey Vinole Orchestra and West Coast Swing Orchestra. She performed with the Fahlguys, singing blues, rockabilly, and pop music. In San Diego, Antonia sang at Croce’s, Patricks, McP’s, Barona Casino, and Viejas Casino. She performed in Las Vegas at the Bellagio Casino and Caesars Palace, and the Sands Atlantic City. Antonia is a jazz vocalist who enjoys singing different genres including opera, pop, and country music.
In musical theater productions she starred as Velma in Chicago, Anita in West Side Story, Bebe in A Chorus Line, Electra in Gypsy, Ethel Merman in The Stork Club, Madam Doro in Hans Christian Anderson, and Sally in Me and My Girl. She also performed in Carousel, My Fair Lady, Babes in Toyland, Singin' in the Rain, Damn Yankees, and Annie Get Your Gun. For Holland America cruise lines, she was featured vocalist, dancer and magician's assistant. Antonia is a ballroom champion, who enjoys choreographing and staging musical numbers.
Antonia was a stand in for Danica McKellar on The Wonder Years. She was a clown on the Brian Ben Ben T.V. show. Antonia appeared in Mr. Saturday Night with Billy Crystal and in Silk Hope starring Farah Fawcett. As lookalike Annette Funicello, she sang surf music with Jan and Dean. Antonia made Happy Days appearances with Don Most and Anson Williams. Dawn Wells approved Antonia to portray Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island. At Universal Studios, she performed as Betty Boop, Carmen Miranda, Nell Fenwick with Dudley Do Right, Boris in the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, and a Spanish can-can dancer in An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. She was the Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell for Disneyland. Antonia was a promotional model for Jagermeister, Camel, Bacardi, Jack Daniels, and Austin Powers Oh Behave! game as a fembot. She made appearances as Lucille Ball and various characters for themed parties.
